Bible study is heavily based on Dr. Nunnally’s work. I have not yet discovered
if he has published his book, but I will post a link for his work if I find out
that he has published it. Feel free to comment on this blog if you discover his
published book (if it’s published) before I do!

Verse 11: #1: The
“Twin Brothers” were Castor and Pollux, sons of Zeus and Leda, the moon
goddess).
Verse 30: Paul
was still a prisoner during this time, but was on probation. He could not leave
Rome.
What happened next? It’s
frustrating that Luke (the author of Acts) does not tell us about Paul’s trial
before Caesar (Nero) or his death. According to the commentary I’m using (cited
below), most scholars agree that Paul was actually aquitted by Nero, but that when
Paul returned to Rome later, he was then killed by Nero. Nero began persecuting
and killing Christians sometime after Paul’s initial trial. For more info on
Paul’s death, check out the ancient sources listed by Wikipedia .

more Bible study in the future! I will be starting a new Bible study within the
